The Order of Malta Blackrock Unit covers a major part of the southeast coastal area of Dublin city and county. We have a rich history going back over 65 years serving our community at large.

We meet every Monday night (excluding Bank Holidays) from 7.45pm to 9.30pm in Newtown Park Pastoral Care Centre, Blackrock which is on Newtown Park Ave right next to Guardian Angels Church.
These meetings are used as additional training to whatever standardised courses (like the First Aid Responder and up) our members do to gather qualifications and are always aimed towards preparing members for the community duties and event cover we do. (eg. Leopardstown Race Course, 3 Arena, Croke Park Concerts, LauraLynn Children Hospice and local Football/Rugby/GAA club matches etc.)

We have a group of between 20 and 30 people most weeks at our training, give or take a few, all with different ages and experience levels. Our training varies week to week but always surrounds some aspect of First Aid, Ambulance Operations or Communications and Team Development.

There are no pre-requisites to joining, potential members can come visit us any Monday evening, see if they enjoy it and want to keep coming back. If it all sounds interesting but you're still not sure feel free to call or check out our Facebook page to get a bit more of a feel for what our Senior and Cadet Units do.
