Description

The Barnardos National Collection Day, kindly supported by Dell will take place on Friday 15th September 2017.  

We urgently need volunteers to help with organised bag packs and on-street collections in communities across the country. 

By generously volunteering your time you’ll be helping change lives and create brighter futures for some of the most vulnerable children across Ireland.
 

Supports provided for this role:

  • Support and encouragement from the National Collection Day Team
  • Full instructions, guidance and materials supplied.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

Main duties/tasks will include:

  • Act as Team Leader for an agreed collection point in your community, looking after a team of volunteers on the day of the collection.
  • Engage with members of the public, representing Barnardos, encouraging donations and have some fun while making a difference.
  • A supply of fundraising materials, instructions and support to help you and your team of volunteers have a great day at your collection site.
  • Flexible Team Lead options – Lead your team at your site for the whole collection or simply start the collection off, helping to arrange the change-over between volunteers during the day and be there at the end to complete – we’d be happy to discuss options with you.
