Requirements:Good communication skills
The Study Club requires volunteers for one to one tuition support of members drawn from Limerick City South and other Regeneration areas. The focus is on confidence building and social development through the medium of homework. The Study Club currently has over 100 members and while there is one Study Club model there are over 100 versions of it as we individualise as much as possible. The aspirations of our members range from completing their secondary education through to those that wish to progress to university.
The AccessCampus is a partnership between UL and the LEDP and our focus is on “bringing the University to the community and the community to the University”. We work with and support a wide range of learners from primary school to adults across the full spectrum of education provision. We assist with Co-op places for students in community settings, research opportunities and also offer places to master’s students as part of their course of study. We place a lot of emphasis on working with individuals and taking the time required by each individual to progress. This approach is equally demanding and rewarding.
