Scouting Ireland is a voluntary, uniformed, non-formal educational movement for young people. It is independent, non-political, open to all without distinction of origin, race, creed, gender, sexual orientation, or ability, in accordance with the purpose, principles and method conceived by the Founder, Robert Baden-Powell and as stated by the World Organisation of the Scout Movement.
Locally our group meets each Friday for den activities and youth-led planning. Youth members are aged 6yrs - 17yrs. Activities take place on weekends and primarily outdoors to include nature, hillwalking, camping, campfires, day trips and lots of FUN!
Adult volunteers, aged 18yrs+, will be garda vetted before engaging in activities with youth.
Is training provided?: Yes
Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position.
Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Join in activities with youth members
Plan and lead an activity
Attend weekly den nights & activities (once a week)

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Primarily Friday nights. Some activities are on Saturdays/Sundays. We break in line with school holidays.
Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week
