What's required

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • A strong team player

  • Strong IT skills

  • Organised, detail-oriented, and self-motivated

  • Ability to research and identify suitable partnership opportunities

  • Ability to perform duties in a professional manner

  • Previous managerial experience, working with teams of 4+ people 

  • Ideally, studied or studying towards a degree in one of the following: English, communications, creative writing or a related area 

  • Previous experience in grant writing is highly desired

  • Non-profit sector experience would be an advantage

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

In this role, you will be assisting with some of the following:

  • Identify financial needs within the organisation 

  • Research grant opportunities from government and non-government agencies 

  • Draft compelling grant proposals and supporting documents based on funding requirements 

  • Submit proposals to grant coordinators for approval 

  • Maintain records and submit reports related to grant opportunities
