Requirements:Knowledge and understanding of second level maths in order to be able to support a young person with their homework & learning & exam prep
We offer young people in our youth project the opportunity to avail of one-to-one tutoring, free of charge. We do this thorugh the wonderful support of volunteers. We ask volunteers for 1 hour tutoring per week, this runs on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 5.30pm to 6.30pm in Rahoon. The tutors offer support to each young person to complete their homework, or to help them prepare for school tests and eventually their Leaving or Junior cert exams. There arecurrently 3 young people waiting to find a volunteer tutor.

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position.
Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Support young person with their maths homework and exam preparation for both Junior and Leaving cert levels.
Skills required for this role:
Knowledge and understanding of maths at second level in order to be able to tutor the student sufficiently. Patience and an understanding nature are necessary in youth work.
Details of time commitment needed for role:
Tuesday or Wednesday evenings 5.30 pm to 6.30pm.
Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week
Additional screening required for this role:
