Croí is dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke, Ireland's No.1 killer. The 25th Annual Tour de Lough Corrib cycle will take place on Sunday, June 9th, 2019. This is the biggest charity cycle in the West of Ireland! 

What's Involved

There are a number of different volunteer roles on the morning of the cycle, but the main focus of all these roles is to ensure that all participants are showed extreme courtesy and greeted with a smile. The main aim is to have as much fun as possible! Volunteers on the morning will be responsible for ensuring all participants know where they are going and what to do in order to register. This includes assisting participants in parking, guiding to the registration hall where necessary, and explaining the registration process where necessary. Some cyclists will have pre-registered and others will register on the morning. Volunteers who are at pre-registration and new registration stations will be responsible for greeting particpants, handling payments, and directing people to pack stations. Volunteers at pack stations will be giving out t-shirts and other goodies to cyclists.

  • Insurance cover
  • Ongoing training opportunities

Age restrictions:

  • Over 16

Skills required for this role:

Ability to enjoy yourself and have fun, while portraying a positive impression of Croí at the same time.

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Sunday 9th June in the morning

Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week
