Do you want the opportunity to meet well-renowned artists, make new friends and involve yourself in the arts? If your answer is yes, then volunteer for the 2018 Carlow Arts Festival. This year's festival will run from the 6th - 10th of June and will showcase the best in music, visual arts and theatre. 

In order to make this our best year yet, we want to a small army of volunteers to help us with a range of tasks before, during and after the festival. 

Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, gain experience in event management and involve yourself in the arts. 

Is training provided?: No

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:

Volunteers will be asked to perform a wide range of tasks including:

Communicating with festival goers and providing information

Distributing leaflets 

Collecting audience surveys

Monitoring designated areas

Gather donations

Answer audience queries concerning the sites, the events and showtimes

You will be scheduled to volunteer at festival events/locations according to your availability and interests. 

When off duty you can join in and experience some of the events taking place at the Carlow Arts Festival.

Skills required for this role:

We are looking for enthuastic individuals who possess great communication skills.

Volunteers must be hardworking individuals with a can-do attitude and excellent organisational skills. 

Details of time commitment needed for role:
An Induction meeting will be held before the festival. Volunteers have the opportunity to meet fellow volunteers and ask previous volunteers questions concerning the festival. Volunteers can then decide their availability for the festival.

Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week

Additional screening required for this role:
Volunteers will be required to fill out an application form on induction day.
