Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival
Requirements:We require applicants to be outgoing, polite, professional and courteous.
Being a volunteer at VMDIFF is a great opportunity for someone to get an insight into the inner workings of a major international film festival. It is also a fantastic chance to develop contacts and build relationships with people in the world of arts management, festivals and the film industry.
Running over the course of 11 days, volunteers can commit to fulltime or part time volunteering, with a minimum of five 4-hour shifts to be completed. The primary need is in the venues where volunteers will be the face of the festival, responsible for getting the audience in the doors and into their seats in a swift and pleasant manner.
Other areas for volunteering include, hospitality, marketing and office admin and productions, all of which come with their own challenges. Further information on each role is available on the application form, or contact me in the office or on email.
Is training provided?: Yes
Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position.
Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Ushering, queue management, ticket scanning, market research, office admin.

Personable, professional and friendly people.
Details of time commitment needed for role:
Each volunteer is required to do a minimum of five 4-hour shifts over the course of the festival. If they wish, they can do more.
Minimum time commitment per week:
4 hour p/week
Additional screening required for this role:
There is an application form that needs to be filled in, which can be sent out on request. Once this is received, we'll then have a recruitment day for volunteers which will provide them with more detailed information about the areas they might be volunteering in and the festival itself.
