Dublin LGBTQ+ Pride 2019 festival will take place from June 20th to 30th, with the Pride Parade on Saturday, June 29th 2019. The theme of this year's event is Rainbow Revolution. Volunteer Ireland are delighted to be working with Dublin LGBTQ Pride CLG to manage the volunteer programme for this year's event.
Assembling on O’Connell Street and Parnell Square on Saturday, June 29th, over 7,000 people from over 150 different groups with floats and marching bands and colourful costumes and lots and lots of noise will lead out the Parade.
From O’Connell Street, the parade will turn on to Eden Quay and pass Liberty Hall, where the first large scale march for LGBTQ+ rights in Ireland started in 1983. The Parade will cross the Liffey at Talbot Memorial Bridge and travel along City Quay, Lombard Street, Westland Row and end with a free outdoor event in Merrion Square. After the Parade join us at Pride Village in Merrion Square which is a free outdoor family event that will run from 1200 to 1800.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Volunteers will be involved in a varirty of roles to ensure that the parade is a success for everyone. Volunteers are required to attend training before the event.
Skills required for this role:
Outgoing, good communicators who are willing to engage with and tlak to members of the general public.
Details of time commitment needed for role:
One Off, event Day, Saturday 29 June.
Minimum time commitment per week:
7 hour p/week
