ISPCC Childline will be 30 years in operation next year 2018 and nearly 30 years later it is still the only 24 hour listening service for children & young people up to the age of 18 available in Ireland. Be with us in 2018 when we reach the big 3-0.
A child or young person does not have to have a problem to contact us, they can call for a chat. Most often contact to Childline is everyday things – school, hobbies, friendship & family. When a child or young person makes contact with the service they do not have to have a problem to contact us however many do contact the service if they are upset or worried about something. These worries could include family issues, school concerns, relationship problems, sexuality, abuse, depression or mental health concerns. When chatting to us at Childline they will be given time & space to talk through what is worrying them and given information on their rights & additional supports if required.
