Making Space Programme
Requirements:Post-grad, Post-doc and Undergrad students, and staff
Through ‘Making Space’ we aim to create and provide a variety of opportunities for engagement with STEM for key target audiences, including under‐represented groups (socially, economically and/or educationally disadvantaged), under-engaged regions in Ireland, i.e. those with no third level institutions or science festivals and a low level of access to outreach/engagement programmes and family's groups who have traditionally had lower levels of engagement with STEM.
Note that participation in the programme will qualify for the NUI Galway President’s ALIVE volunteering certificate, or can count for the NUI Galway postgraduate module in science communication - GS536.

Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Please note that training will be provided. Tasks may include leading a small team during visits to schools and organisations in Galway.
The organisation will provide Garda Vetting.

Activities will take place weekly on Tuesday 10.30am - 12.30pm.
Minimum time commitment per week:
1 hour p/week
