Requirements:Good communication skills
As part of College Awareness Week, 20th-26th November, NUI Galway volunteers will visit local and county post-primary schools throughout November to represent the university, while informing students about what we have to offer potential students.
Volunteers will:
1) highlight all of the various pathways available to students to attend 3rd level education,
2) give an account of university and student life, and, finally,
3) provide some basic info on campus accessibility for all ![]()
Is training provided?: Yes
Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position.
Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
Full training in public speaking will be provided, along with info to ensure that volunteeers enjoy themselves fully, while informing students about student life, access, and alternative pathways to 3rd level education.
Transport and food costs will be provided, so all volunteers have to do is turn up!

Details of time commitment needed for role:
Volunteers are welcome to give 1 to 2 school visits, depending on their availability. These are during school hours Monday-Friday.
Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hour p/week
