Foróige seeking New Role Model Adult Leaders for our clubs in Templeogue 1) Ultra Fusion ASD CLub 12-16 yr olds, Monday Nights // The Small Giants (12-14 yr olds) Tuesday nights // The Swamp 915-18 yr olds) Tuesday nights // The Little Einsteins (10-12 yr olds) Thursday nights
Foróige is a nationwide youth organisation, engaging with 50,000 young people nationwide, with a dedicated staff of 400 and over 5,000 volunteers, who help achieve our work with young people.
Foróige support a range of activities / programmes for young people:

Foróige have approximately 600 clubs nationwide, with a growing network of clubs in South Dublllin. Included in this network is Ultra Fusion, a lcub for teenagers aged 12-16 yrs old who experience mild to moderate Autism. This club ihas been developed insofar as possible, to ensure the Foróige club model can be adapted to provide a regular club, which is inclusive, wleocming, homing activities which are well considered and to suit the majority of the capacities and interests of the young people in the club, Ultimately, Ultra Fusion has been an amazing opportunity for young people to make friends, which was ultimately the club's founding objective.

Please note that Garda Vetting is required for this position.
Tasks that the volunteer(s) will be expected to undertake:
* To work together with a large team of volunteers, to host a weekly club for a group of teens (15 members aged 12-16 yrs old)
* As part of this, you will help contribute ideas for appropriate activities and learning opportunities for the members, based on the interests and abilities of the members
* As a Leader, you will also be taking on board tasks associated with the successful co-ordination of this club, from managing the paperwork, to organising refreshments, to arranging the necessary resources for a particular club activity (don't worry, these jobs are all shared)
Skills required for this role:
* Dedication, Commitment - this particular club engages with young people who thrive best on consistency. The club functions in the best manner it can when there is a regular and consistent team of volunteers, who get to know the young people and other volunteers welll
* Enthsiasm
* Good sense of humour
* Interest and emapthy in young people with Special Intellectual Needs
Details of time commitment needed for role:
Monday evenings 7-9pm
Minimum time commitment per week:
2 hour p/week
Additional screening required for this role:
